So Anxious (Ginuwine)

Following practicum we discussed the Kama Sutra as well as the Vama Marga, the physical sexual path of Tantra.

While the former has become well-known for the variety of sexual positions offered, the practices of the Vama Marga are actually far more explicit, focused on sustaining sexual ecstasy through breath and, ultimately, whole-body orgasms.

Topics ranged from restraining the bindu (delaying ejaculation), sajaholi (the necessity for a woman to hold her mind in "absolute concentration" on the mooladhara chakra), awakenings (orgasms) and vajroli (purification before engaging in sexual union). By  now there was considerable joking about lingam size, yoni position, and "multiple explosions."

As the program neared conclusion, a restlessness developed in the room, either from information overload... or a desire to run home and try out new skills.

Titillating as that thought may be, one must remember the core tenet of Tantric philosophy: without patience, love, trust and commitment, tantric ecstasy will remain elusive. So for now, I'll put my toolbox away until Jupiter aligns with Mars and all elements exist for a perfect taste of divine ecstasy.

In the interim, I can contemplate an entirely new perspective on Lotus Position. But if you ask about it in class, I'll feign complete and utter ignorance.
